It's never too early to introduce your child to music

Based in Orange NSW Australia, for over 10 years now, Early Years Music School is run by Ruth Thompson, an innovative early years music teacher and educator with over 30 years experience.

​Ruth is dedicated to providing joyous early musical experiences through the delivery of a sequential, fun filled and a fully researched syllabus in small age streamed classes.

Using an age appropriate curriculum that grows with the developmental needs of your child; we include singing games, listening, moving, dramatic play, percussion instruments, books and puppets in a setting of socialisation and wonder.

Early Years Music School runs 4 mornings a week (excluding Friday) and offers age appropriate classes - Babies, Tiny Tots, Toddlers, Pre School & Kindy.

Every class is 40 - 45 minutes long, beginning with playtime, followed by a familiar framework of greeting songs, lap games, bounces, movement exploration, finger plays, wiggling and tickling, enjoying percussion, engaging with props to name a few.

Being an early years music teacher is the BEST job. My school has seen hundreds of families pass through it, creating lasting friendships and providing a safe relaxing space for connection and community.

Children are naturally wired for sound: in these all important early years, they are making sense of all the sounds around them, none more so than parents and caregivers.

Every lesson at EYMS, is designed creatively and carefully to maximise opportunities for play and movement, to develop listening skills, to be aware of friends around them and practise socialisation and discover the joy of music making, singing and being expressive.
